HISTORY
Humble beginnings
Placage au Chrome de Ste-Foy opened in a small 3,600 sq. ft. workshop in 1974. Thanks to its excellent service and superior quality work, the company immediately stood out from the competition. Six years later, in order to meet ever-growing customer demand, the company moved to a new building in the St-Augustin industrial park, outside of Quebec City.
Remarkable growth
In order to sustain its growth, Placage au Chrome de Ste-Foy split its operations in 1998. A second building was acquired in the St-Augustin industrial park and RMH Industries opened for business. Together, in addition to strengthening their presence in the field, Placage au Chrome de Ste-Foy and RMH Industries increased their production capacity and emerged as leaders in the repair and manufacture of hydraulic and mechanical components of all kinds.
In 2003, a group of employees, together with the company president and founder, initiated a business transfer process that was successfully completed in 2006. In 2007, the new administration earned the Desjardins Prize and Vision Award in recognition for planning and developing an effective business transfer succession plan.
A promising future
Placage au Chrome de Ste-Foy and RMH Industries have expanded to a 50,000 sq. ft. work space and now employ over 60 people. The companies never stop looking ahead and are committed to providing superior quality service.
